Crypto.com Launches Tool to Simplify Crypto Taxes
Crypto.com has launched a free service it says reduces the complexity of filing cryptocurrency tax returns.
- In a blog post Wednesday, the Hong Kong-headquartered exchange said its new tool provides “an estimation of taxable gains/losses on relevant crypto transactions,” which can be downloaded for tax filing.
- Users can import transaction records from supported exchanges and wallets via CSV files or using API synchronization where supported.
- Initially, the service is only available in Canada but will later be rolled out to other jurisdictions.
- When that happens, the tool will use country-specific tax calculation formulas.
- “We worked with professional tax advisers to ensure that the calculation logic is consistent with available guidance and laws for filing crypto taxes in Canada,” said Crypto.com.

Dogecoin Is Not the Next Bitcoin – But Here Are the Similarities
To those of us who have been in the industry for a long time, Dogecoin has always been an oddity: A project that has exceptional approachability and appeal to new users while lacking most of the characteristics that make cryptocurrencies useful or valuable. Created in 2013 by Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus, the project was abandoned years ago by its founders and developers, if not its fans. Until recently, it was in such a weak state that it couldn’t even power its own blockchain infrastructure and in 2014 hitched its…

Mysterious Filings Suggest Impostor Is Using Grayscale’s Name to Pump Obscure Coins
Someone appears to have gone to odd lengths to impersonate digital asset manager Grayscale Investments, possibly in an effort to drive up the prices of two lesser-known cryptocurrencies. To be clear: Grayscale said it has no intention of creating a financial instrument around Nahmii, an Ethereum scaling project, or Theta, a video platform. Nevertheless, there is a pair of registered trusts, one for each obscure coin, in the state of Delaware (the trust for Nahmii misspells the coin’s name with one “i”). Each of these trusts bears Grayscale’s name, and…

Coinbetter: Outlook for Cryptocurrency in 2022
Taking a look at the fall, the factors affecting bitcoin’s decline are increasingly complex from different dimensions. Bitcoin’s fall from $40,000 to its nadir of $32,000 is undoubtedly driven by the linkage of THE US stock market and the expectation of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. On the day before the Fed’s decision, U.S. stocks opened down, but bitcoin rebounded, petering out at $38,900, an important sign that the broader market is starting to move independently of U.S. stocks. The United States time on January 27, 3 o ‘clock, the…

Reddit Forum WallStreetBets Allows Crypto Conversation, Immediately Re-Bans It
The Reddit forum famous for making GameStop’s (GME) stock price a household topic has banned all discussion of cryptocurrencies less than 24 hours after tentatively allowing a daily discussion thread, with restrictions. WallStreetBets, a subreddit that describes itself as “like 4chan found a Bloomberg terminal,” has long banned cryptocurrency discussion. It lifted this ban on three cryptocurrencies – bitcoin (BTC, -1.74%), ether (ETH, -0.45%) and dogecoin (DOGE, +87.45%) – though it continued banning “crypto spam” on Wednesday, after Coinbase’s direct public listing. On Thursday, the ban was reinstated, citing the deleterious effects of a Bloomberg article. “Due to the article that…

Cutting-edge technologies drive innovation: KHC public chain emerges at the right moment
KHC: redefining finance Traditional financial institutions are called centralized financial institutions.
